Funny story... I work with a couple guys under 30 who talk to me a lot about "old school" Bay Area bands...sure TOP, Santana, etc. are always talked about but "Cold Blood? Who's that?" Whoa.... talk about an opportunity to give them a music lesson. Dug up every Cold Blood tune I could find on the net and these "kids" are blown away!
My '70's high school memories are a blur <GRIN> but Cold Blood, Winterland, original Fillmore, etc. are VIVID. Glad to see/hear you're still at it!
Cheers,
Mike

COLD BLOOD MUSIC SAMPLED BY RAP ARTIST. In Seattle, on morning drive time radio, June 9, 2008, station 90.3 FM the CB tune I Just Wanna Make Love To You, was looped in a new rap song that the DJ said had just been released in New York. Lifted right off the first CB album with Lydia singing I Dont Want To...to be no slave. looped throughout the song, and it was the main hook, too. The name of the song was "Be No Slave." Attention CB attorneys -- make sure you get your royalty check on that one!

I was recently listening to Funky on my Back from a CD I bought at least 8 years ago. I work for Apple, and I decided to check iTunes. Found your new CD from last fall. It sounds great. Decided to download your new one, Thriller and Sisyphus. I lost both of those albums over the years. So thank god you have them on iTunes.
Hope to catch one of your live shows in Pittsburg or Livermore.

Lydia,I have been wondering whatever happened to you. I fell in love with you music in the late sixties (69). I went to see you in 1971 when you were at the Whiskey A GoGo on Sunset Strip (Hollywood). I was only 19 years old (underage for drinking). I wanted to see so bad because I really loved your music. I have pictures from that night.
I have 2 of your albums well over 30 years old. Glad to know you are still around. Still a fan...Cindy

Rediscovered you all last year when I heard "You Got Me Hummin'" on the local Pacifica affiliate in Houston, Texas. I went out and bought that wonderful self-titled first album on vinyl at the local record collectors heaven. Now I'm in Baton Rouge, and here I discover you are still alive and well, Ms. Lydia, and still belting the blues. Put me on your mailing list, I'd love to catch you all if you made it down this way. I saw your act many times in the late 70s at the Bodega in San Jose, and at least once at the Catalyst in Sanity Cruise. Keep it up, y'all!
